Ever so Briefly…

**We are putting together some killer shows for the next few months with some great bands – we’ll be updating our calendar constantly!

**We recorded a live session and interview with the super-awesome HaveYouHeard.net people over the weekend. Portions of the session will be incorporated into their weekly podcast in a couple of weeks, and then the entire session will be available on the site (for FREE!) a few days after that. If you haven’t been to the site yet, head over there and check out sessions from Hope for Agoldensummer, Howlies, and many more!

**Our new LP is available at many more online shops now, so be sure to grab a copy from your favorite online retailer – LIST HERE.

Adventures at Lenny’s

Hmmm….where to begin? On Friday night we played at Lenny’s, and we managed to have a good time though things did not turn out as we had planned. We were a late addition to the bill, and The Winter Sounds (with whom we were excited to play) dropped out at the last second. So, as a replacement, Lenny’s brought in a hip-hop act that apparently sold out the Drunken Unicorn the week before. Due to this last-minute change, the cover charge was hiked from a reasonable $5 to an utterly ridiculous $10 for people arriving after 10:30. Our set began at 10:30, and as we took the stage we had no idea that the cover charge had been raised; had we known…there would have been issues. Regardless, we would like to very heartily apologize to any of you (and I know there were a handful) who showed up and were not willing to pay the outlandish cover. Most of our fans & friends are very well aware of our desire to only play cheap/free shows, and this little incident was a real punch in the balls.

The upside to this unfortunate situation is that the booking guy at Lenny’s was just as displeased as we were, and we will definitely be back there soon – next time with more appropriate companions on the bill and most certainly with an AFTTD-approved cover charge. Additionally, we’d like to thank the sound guys at Lenny’s for making us sound (as) good (as we could in the notoriously cavernous room), and for maintaining their patience with us even after the headliners’ *ahem* lengthy soundcheck. You guys were great!
