Keeping it Fresh

For those of you keeping score at home, here’s what’s going on with AFTTD. First off, our next full-length record is over half written at this point, and we’re shooting to begin the recording process this spring. In the meantime, we are planning an online-only EP of new material for a spring release; we’ll have more info on this soon.

Also, anyone who attended our recent Drunken Unicorn show might have noticed a slight lineup change in the band. In late January, we parted ways with our original bassist Colin Jaccino; this was done for the usual reasons of musical compatibility, etc. We want to make it clear that Colin is easily one of the nicest, coolest, and most all-around warm-hearted guys we know, and that the split with him was very amicable. There is no bad blood on either side, and we really wish our old friend the best in any new musical endeavors he pursues. We also want to publicly thank Colin for everything he did to help AFTTD emerge from its infancy to become what it has; his contributions are very much appreciated, and we would have had a much harder time without his unending enthusiasm for the band. Thanks Colin, you’re one hell of a dude.

So, in light of this, we’d also like to welcome Daniel Winn to the AFTTD roster. Daniel is one of our oldest friends and musical cohorts, and easily one of the best bassists we know. Daniel’s most recent outings have been with Hot Young Priest, Goodnight Insomniacs, and No River City. Daniel agreed to join the band on a temporary fill-in basis until we sort out our permanent plans; that said, he’ll be with us for a while yet and only time will tell if he stays on permanently. So, introduce yourself to ol’ Daniel at our next show!
