Wow, what a night. Our second-annual Holiday Blowout was an absolute blast, and with the exception of a few production-related hiccups, it went off without a hitch! Also, the final tally isn’t finished yet, but it appears that we almost DOUBLED the amount of cash we raised for the Food Bank last year. NICE!
First off, huge thanks go out to all of the performers from the evening. We were absolutely thrilled with Telegram’s long-overdue return to the stage, and the fact that the always-wonderful Kitty Snyder joined them onstage was just icing on the musical cake! And even though the drunken revelry of others in the room threatened to drown them out, Adron, Old Custer, Blair Crimmins, Lera Lynn, and Daniel Clay all performed their holiday songs beautifully. And big ups to the Judi Chicago boys for keeping the party going into the night with a perfectly-paced DJ set.
We are truly proud to count the best musicians in this town amongst our friends.
We’d definitely be remiss if we didn’t thank Malissa Sole of 4th Ward Heroes for her promotional and organizational help – hell, I think she Twittered and Facebooked about the show more than we did!
And most definitely we must thank the Highland Ballroom crew for so generously allowing us to commandeer their venue once again this year – Mega, Josh, Val, Adam, and Mary were as accommodating as humanly possible and we appreciate it more than we can say.
Last but not least we want to thank our wonderful friends, family, and fans for not only supporting our band, but also for joining us in our support of the Food Bank. You guys really make all the hard work worthwhile!
See you all in 2010…

Hello friends and fans! As many of you know, we are celebrating the holidays with a fundraiser for the Atlanta Community Food Bank on Dec 20th. Here are the details!
We are happy to announce that our debut self-titled LP is now available online, in stores, and of course at our shows. As many of you know (you were there!), we celebrated the record’s release with a bash at Atlanta’s Highland Ballroom on July 19th. Words can’t even describe how much fun we had at this show; the turnout was amazing and everyone was just so f’n cool. The trio of Ben Gettys, Jamie Shephard, and Colin Bragg opened the evening with a selection of wonderful tunes that did a great job of setting the tone for the remainder of the night. Thanks guys!
By the time we hit the stage around 10:45, there was a line at the bar that stretched nearly to the door and the energy in the room was just fantastic. We were extremely pleased with the crowd’s reaction to our show, and very much enjoyed the interaction; everyone was there to have a good time and we sure hope we gave it to them!
We have finished the record. Finally. It is being pressed as I type, and will be dumped onto an unsuspecting world for the first time at our CD Release Show July 19th. We are super proud of this record, and we really can’t wait for everyone to hear it! We’re also thrilled about the Release show – we’ll be taking over the Highland Ballroom in Atlanta for the evening, and we’ll be joined by some of our favorite musicians in town. Opening the evening is a fantastic trio comprised of Jamie Shepard, Ben Gettys, and Colin Bragg; these guys will likely embarrass us with their amazing musicianship! We will then take the stage for about 45-60 minutes – we’ll be playing a nice cross-section of old and new material. Following our set, local DJ Black Dominoes (well known around teh Interwebs for his fantastic Vampire Weekend remix) will take us into the late-night with old school soul and rare garage tracks.
